Warehouse And Distribution Manager - Chemical Industry - R500K - R400K

RPO Recruitment's client in the chemical industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Warehouse & Distribution Manager to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies for operational growth to facilitate business targets.Manage and supervise staff, including mentoring and guiding them to achieve relevant KPI's and to continue to improve and grow within the business.Maintain and enforce all health and safety protocols in the warehouse and conduct regular toolbox talks with staff to facilitate a culture of safety within the warehouse.Maintain all equipment, vehicles, and forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and adhere to safety requirements.Investigate and document all incidents within the department by means of the Sheqsys system.Ensure 5S standards and housekeeping are always maintained.Ensure adherence to all relevant ISO Quality and Environmental standards, and maintain necessary documentation required for audits.Obtain quotes, as required, for capex, maintenance, or other purchases required for the warehouse.Layout the warehouse to ensure optimum space utilization and safe storage of all stocks as per legislative requirements and maintain FIFO and batch traceability.Maintain accuracy of inventory by enforcing tight control of all inbound and outbound movements and transactions through conducting regular perpetual counts and quarterly counts.Ensure all documented information and records are maintained in line with company requirements.RequirementsA qualification in supply chain management or a business degree.A minimum of 5 years' experience in the chemical manufacturing industry in a similar role.Proficient in Excel, Sage, with strong decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities, strategic planning, effective leadership, good communication skills, self-motivated, and diligent.BenefitsSalary: R450K/yr - R500K/yr, salary negotiable.If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to RPO Recruitment at ******, you can contact Shannon Thomson and Jamie-lee McCallum on LinkedIn or call them on 021 180 0776.Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
