You will be responsible for running the Technical Service Helpdesk, giving assistance to engineers, customers and colleagues. You will be confident and knowledgeable in identifying and solving issues, whilst providing manuals, part numbers and advice, always ensuring a high standard of service. Sales experience will be a benefit, as the right person will be involved in Sales Support and Internal Sales.TasksThe Technical Service Manager will have the ability to understand the operation of Forced Draught Burners, Gas, Oil and Dual Fuels and will be confidently able to diagnose faults.A hands-on approach and experience is preferable for this role.You will be required to run the Technical and Service Help Desk by phone and email, which will include (but is not exhaustive of); Booking in service and commissioning calls with external service agents, be first line technical support to both internal and external staff, control and manage maintenance of returns and warranties and have the ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.The Technical Service Manager will have good communication skills, as you will on occasion be dealing with Italian and German colleagues, homeowner's, engineers and customers alike.The role will mainly be office based, but travel to customer sites and occasional overseas travel will be required for training. RequirementsMath, English GCSE Level C or 4 and above.Knowledge in the industry is essential, along with practical and technical knowledge of Forced Draught & Pressure Jet Burners. Gas Safe and/or Oftec registered is preferred. Proven experience within a role managing multiple priorities.
