Introduction to the role: We are looking for an innovative Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team. You will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
Our Procurement Manager will be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by Zutari. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the Zutari's policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
Role responsibilities: Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.Creating Request for Quotations (RFQs) and overseeing competitive bidding cycles.Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.Devises initiatives to drive procurement performance and SCM excellence.Negotiate and/or renegotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best deals and terms.Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers including strategic partnerships.Preparing and managing budgets, strategies, cost analyses, and reports – tracking key metrics and KPI to reduce cost.Streamlining the organization's business processes including optimizing workflows and automation processes to save time and money.Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and laws.Incorporating procurement software, e-procurement processes and business processes where necessary.Monitoring industry trends and developments.Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.Provides leadership to the wider procurement and SCM unit, proactively developing and upskilling all members of the team.Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration6+ years of relevant experience within the supply chain functionProven experience managing supply chain projects and operationsExperience in leading and developing teamsExperience using supply chain management software and toolsIn-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation termsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)Management and leadership skillsMulti-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksHighly organized and detail-orientedExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWe believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
