PURPPOSE OF JOB:To oversee the company daily operations within the Branch and ensure the success within the company.
Need to ensure correct business strategies are implement and growth in the company.
Review all operational data and financial statements to ensure the company is on the correct path.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:This position will be responsible for the following 4 Key Performance Areas:1.
Financial KPA: To Keep overheads in control and under budget2.
Customer KPA: To manage key relationships ensuring the branch retains and grows the customer base3.
Operational KPA: To drive 100% compliance of company SOP's and policies as well as guarantee consistent and excellent service delivery4.
Learn & Grow KPA: To mentor department managers to be able to operate independent of supervisionCustomer Responsibilities:1.
Provide outstanding customer service· Provide first in class service delivery at all times within SOP parameters2.
Ensure no non-conformance are filed against us· Make sure the factory and suppliers, supply up to standard goods to ensure we supply correct level productsOperational Responsibilities:1.
Use of Resources· Ensure we are using the resources we have, to 100% Capacity.· Ensure all SOP's that are in place are followed.2.
Divisional Managers· Ensure all mangers use their resource 100% and run their divisions to the maximum efficiency.o Rim Factoryo Fill Planto Warehouseo Forklift fitment3.
Drive the implementation of SOP's and policies to ensure there are no stock losses· Drive the completion of weekly stock counts, ensuring that variances are resolved immediately· Ensure the proper Despatch processes are in place so that there is always tight control at the exit points to the warehouse – no stock should leave without being invoiced on a system generated invoice without approval from Finance Director level· Oversee the training of SOP's to all staff and ensure proper records are kept with regards to this training· Manage the policies with regards to building security as well as Health & Safety at all times4.
Ensure all branch customer queries are resolved within SLA· Acknowledge all queries and address them with urgency· Escalate customer complaints to the relevant departmental manager for resolution and insist on timeous feedback· Spot check divisional emails to ensure response is within SLA5.
Be the custodian of the SOP's within the branch and report non-compliance up the line· Drive a culture of 100% SOP compliance within the branch· Protect the assets of the branch by ensuring SOP's are understood and followed at all times· Escalate any operational shortfalls to line manager if not resolved· Close the feedback loop to ensure that issues are resolved MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE1.
10 Years in the steel/warehousing/manufacturing industry2.
Good experience in establishing business goals and strategies3.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results4.
To be very practical, analytical and a problem solver5.
Financial experience, and understanding of all financial aspects within a companySkills:1.
