RPO Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency in the mining industry, is currently seeking a highly experienced and professional Smelt House Foreman to join our client's team in the GP region.
As a Smelt House Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the smelting operations in a mining facility.
This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of smelting processes and procedures.
Responsibilities: Manage and supervise the smelting operations in the facility Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards Monitor and optimize smelting processes to maximize production efficiency Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations Provide technical guidance and support to the smelting team Maintain accurate records and reports of smelting activities Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in metallurgy or related field Supervisory course/ First line manager course At least 5 years' experience working as a smelt houses foreman in a Gold Smelting environment Held a 2.9.2 MHSA appointment Experience in in gold production plant operations including CIL, Elution, Carbon Regeneration and Electrowinning Processing plant experience Excellent leadership and management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
