Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Production Manager to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that the pre-production processes run reliably and efficiently. You must be a pre-production whiz dedicated to boosting productivity and managing critical path. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations,Manage workflow of Pre-production teamManage costing processBe responsible for pre-production output, product quality, and on-time handover to our factory.Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets.Be able to work with cross-functional departments related to production to make sure deadlines are met.Promotes the adherence of the product calendar by ensuring the efficient collaboration and coordination between cross-functional partners, including Design, R&D, Merchandising, and Materials.Research new sources of manufacturing and industry best practices to ensure continual process improvement and long-term vision.Requirements Proven experience as a Pre-Production Manager in the manufacturing sector,Degree or Diploma in clothing managementIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, as well as pre-production processesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills,Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills,Able to create accountability and lead by example,Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a focus on solutions.Excellent understanding of garment costing and constructionEffective project management, problem-solving, and negotiation skillsExtreme attention to detailMust be sharp, deadline focused and motivatedJob Related Behavioural Competencies: Entrepreneurial mindset, results-drivenSelf-starter - ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from managerThrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environmentProven prioritization, time management, and project management skillsTeam Player and ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation.Excellent Communication skills.Ability to work independently and use initiative.Resilient and tenacious in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively.Ability to work in a pressurized and fast paced environment.Deadline and outcomes focused.Methodical, detail-orientated, and accurate.Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
