Purpose Of RoleThe Logistics Projects Coordinator will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing logistics projects to enhance the efficiency of the company's supply chain operations. This role involves working closely with the logistics team and external partners to ensure projects are executed smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of logistics operations and strong organizational and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationSupport the development of project plans, including basic timelines and resource estimates.Assist in coordinating logistics activities and communicating with internal teams and external vendors.Track project progress and provide regular updates to the logistics manager and other stakeholders.Process Improvement Help identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and contribute to implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).Participate in regular process reviews and suggest ideas to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Inventory and Supply Chain Management Aid in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely stock replenishment.Assist in tracking and resolving inventory discrepancies and reporting issues to the logistics manager.Communication and CollaborationMaintain effective communication with project stakeholders, addressing queries and concerns promptly.Collaborate with the logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.Data Entry and AnalysisAssist in collecting and entering logistics data, using software tools to track shipments and analyze inventory levels.Help prepare basic reports and summaries for project performance and logistics operations.Documentation and ComplianceSupport the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assist in ensuring that logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.Risk IdentificationAssist in identifying potential risks and challenges in logistics projects and support the development of mitigation plans.Contribute to risk assessments and help implement basic risk management strategies.Training and Development SupportParticipate in training sessions and assist in training logistics team members on new processes and systems.Support a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.Knowledge, Education, Skills & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and NetSuite.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and assist in developing solutions.Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build positive relationships.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.Driver's licencePhysical RequirementsAbility to travel occasionally for project coordination and site visits.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.Working ConditionsThis position is primarily office-based but may require visits to warehouses, distribution centers, and other logistics facilities.About Rubicon GroupRubicon Group is a vertically-integrated, sustainable technology group, providing end-to-end products, services, and software solutions in the fields of:Solar energyEnergy storageE-MobilitySmart building and smart retail technologyPower solutions; andIndustrial technologyThese are some of the fastest growing and most exciting sectors of the global economy, and present our staff with multiple personal and professional development opportunities.Rubicon's extensive customer base consists of corporate and retail clients, and include large, blue-chip multinational retail groups, property developers, and EPC customers in the renewable energy sector.
