Position - Buyer

Location – Pinetown, Durban

Responsibilities

• Supply input on of trends to establish strategic, merchandise and assortment plans
• Source best quality merchandise to meet trends in line with the merchandise and sales plan
• Liaise with suppliers and stores on all issues relating to the department
• Prepare departmental presentations/reports, excel worksheets and word documents on product performance
• Updating & executing the promotional calendar
• Maintaining GP mandates
• Forecasting, management of stock, and purchasing
• Retrieve reports from the operating system and generate monthly reports for management
• Placing purchase orders and expediting timeously
• Assist marketing with information for completion of artwork or amendments; broadsheets etc
• Month end reconciliation of purchases & checking for signoff before payment
• Planning deliveries with suppliers and warehouse for receiving
• Problem-solving, investigating, and resolving queries promptly and effectively
• Conduct regular store visits
• Compile, update, and maintain supplier files
• Must be well presented, professional, and have excellent communication skills

Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3 Years of Experience in the same or similar role/FMCG Health & Beauty
Degree or Diploma in the relevant field
Clear Criminal record
Must be available immediately
