Job Summary:We are in search of a seasoned Workshop Supervisor to guide and manage the maintenance and repair operations of various vehicles and equipment at our establishment. The Workshop Supervisor will oversee a team of mechanics, guaranteeing that all vehicles are serviced and repaired with efficiency and precision.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and guide a team of mechanics and technicians in maintaining and repairing various vehicles and equipment.Organize and coordinate vehicle maintenance tasks for on-time completion.Liaise with drivers and fleet managers to pinpoint and resolve vehicle problems.Manage inventory and procure necessary parts and supplies.Perform quality control checks to confirm all work adheres to company standards.Document all maintenance and repair activities comprehensively.Register and renews all vehicle permits and licences.Communicate with Line Manager and provide clear explanations of repair options, costs, and estimated completion timesSupervise mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they are delivering exceptional customer service, following the company protocols, and foster a constructive and energetic atmosphere within the workshop teamEducate and develop mechanics to enhance their skills and performance.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.Diagnose various mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and procedures.Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while working on vehicles and operating heavy tools and machinery.Stay updated on the latest technological advancements, repair techniques, and tools in the automotive industry.Qualifications and Skills:Class 1 (one) vocational or technical education in Diesel Mechanics is required.Minimum of five years' experience in the trade, preferably in a workshop environment and supervisory experience is preferred.Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as is attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Applicants should possess strong mechanical skills, a thorough understanding of vehicle systems and components, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.Proficient knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.Has experience working with Toyota 4X4's i.e., Land Cruiser and HiluxStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently.Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to vehicle maintenance is important.Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.Ability to use various diagnostic tools and equipment, including scanners, wrenches, jacks, and lifts.Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to the Line Manager in a clear and concise manner.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Valid driver's license and clean driving record is necessary.If you meet these qualifications and have a passion for providing top-notch maintenance services for various vehicles, we invite you to apply for the position of Workshop Supervisor.
