Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain software. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans for vehicle logistics, ensuring alignment with company goals and market demands. Create and manage detailed transportation and logistics plans for vehicle distribution across multiple regions. Analyze logistics performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. Oversee the management of vehicle fleets, including transportation carriers, storage, and handling. Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Set performance goals, conduct regular team assessments, and provide feedback and coaching. Ensure team members are well-trained on logistics systems, safety protocols, and industry regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with third party transportation providers, including trucking companies, rail carriers, and port operators. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and resolve disputes or issues as they arise. Collaborate with external partners to ensure the timely and safe transport of vehicles. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates, transportation costs, and inventory accuracy.
