PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent is essentialLevel 4 ETDP certificate is essentialMinimum of 3 years working experience as a Training Officer in the Processing environment is essentialComputer literacy (MS Office packages) is essentialValid medical certificate is essential or be medically fit to obtain such a certificateCOMPETENCIES:Knowledge of the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is an advantageKnowledge of Skills Development Act and Training Processes is advantageousRegistered Assessor and Moderator is essentialMust have knowledge of Mine Health & Safety ActMust be able to interact with people on different levelsSupervisory skills, problem solving, and analytical skills are essentialAn ability to influence stakeholders at different levels would be an advantageKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Ensure effective supervision of training staffEnsure compliance with Impala standards, procedures and legal requirements (e.g. Mine Health & Safety Act.)Evaluate clients satisfaction surveys for Line Management and employeesContinuously revise current learning materialCoordinate planned skills development interventionsConduct proper assessment processes which will include moderationAttend HRD and Sectional meetings where appropriateConduct skills development administrationEnsure effective theoretical, practical and on-the-job training and coaching of traineesConduct gap analysis and take appropriate action to identify risksEnsure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards and practicesIMPORTANT: Short listed candidates may be subjected to a psychometric assessment.
