Roles & Responsibilities Strategic Function Support the development of data analytics related products to advance the data collection,quality,and analysis and ensure alignment with the AGSA CultureShift 2030 Strategy. Provide support in the implementation of the business unit (BU) balance score card (BSC).
Product Management Development of value-add analytics: Provide support in developing leading and innovative solutions, tools and practices in data quality,analysis and visualisation. Support various products including the AGSA General and special Reports by extracting, manipulating, analysing and transforming structured and unstructured audit data using tools such as Excel,Power BI, MySQL,etc. therebyproviding meaningful insights from available data. Constantly monitor the integrity and quality of data and processes to identify deficiencies and facilitate improvement. In-depth analysis of the annual audit outcomes of the three spheres of government and provide support with the drafting of guidance on the general report (GR) content and compilation process. Preparing audit outcomes presentation slides for stakeholder briefings to public sector role-players and provide support to the preparers during the GR or special report (SR) compilation process. Perform verification of the accuracy, completeness and consistency of audit outcomes-related data included in the GRs and/or SRs. Design efficient, appropriate data collection methods, tools and templates for use by reporting team and preparers. Timeously identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies. Liaise with subject matter experts and other contributors to the GR to ensure external stakeholders' information needs are met in presentations and GRs. Provide support with the identification, analysis and reporting of root causes of failures in the control environment of AGSA auditees and the reasons for insufficient delivery on service delivery objectives. Continuously research ways to enhance data collection and analysis of audit derived insights and propose research findings and recommendations. Maintain quality of the assigned sections of the general report in accordance with prescribed quality control standards. Manage Audit software project (ASP) deliverables in development, testing and production to ensure that it services the intended purpose.
Stakeholder Management Build and maintain collaborative and value-adding relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to create strong partnerships and environment to enable macro-environmental scanning. Scan the environment to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder needs. Build a network of sources in academia, business and government to draw on for research purposes Provide specialist support and guidance to internal stakeholders on technical matters in order to ensure alignment with the relevant guidelines. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate performance barriers and success in order to continuously improve the delivery of the services. Establish and maintain relations with recognised professional bodies within own professional sphere. Communicate technical processes and requirements to internal stakeholders and ensure understanding of these by all relevant stakeholders Deliver in accordance with the agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
People Management Manage own performance. Participate in the BU's transformation, culture, and diversity and employment equity initiatives. Commit to continuous learning and advancing of own skills so as to remain abreast with industry trends. Provide support to the Senior Manager with regard to centre management and other business unit tasks.
Financial management and operational management Contribute to the compilation of centre budget, and manage project expenditure related to functional area. Manage reporting projects and team members to delivery required outputs within the set timeframes. Ensure compliance to AGSA policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures. Manage supply chain processes within scope of work
Other responsibilities (Applicable to All JD's) Perform and/or manage other projects, tasks and assignments not stipulated on the Job description as and when required.
Qualifications CA (SA) / RGA / ACCA
Experience Minimum 3 years post qualification audit experience. 2 years' experience should be as an Audit Senior or Supervisor/Assistant Audit Manager Experience as an audit manager will be an advantage Experience in the public sector or auditing of the public sector will be an advantage. Experience with business information systems and business intelligence tools will be an advantage.
