RPO Recruitment's client in the FMCG industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Supply Chain Materials Specialist to join their team in Gauteng.ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate and maintain the replenishment schedule and analyse the schedule by doing "what if" scenarios and report on progress.Highlight and identify resource constraints and recommend processes to eliminate resource constraints.Suggest batch size changes, re-routing of products and outsourcing/ purchasing of additional materials.Identify and highlight critical material shortages and products which are at risk.Perform stock out analysis.Compare net requirements against scheduled receipts in monthly periods using extracts from MPS.Compare actual vs forecasted volumes and assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.Manage and maintain planning reports.Interact and problem solve all daily customer queries and resolve with the necessary sense of urgency.Manage and maintain the Supplier relationships as well as the score cards.Manage Export and Import documentation and permit applications.Assist QA and other departments with CoA's and other queries.Continuously review and improve relevant system parameters, such as safety stocks, reorder points and lot sizes across multiple production sites, also keeping MRP masterdata correct and up to date.To liaise with purchasing department to improve the on-time delivery from our vendors.To set up and run daily, weekly, and monthly control reports.RequirementsNational Diploma / B Degree in Industrial Engineering / Operations Management.Logistics / Supply Chain / Accounting.CPIM / CSCA will be an advantage.Computer literate – MS Office – Advanced Excel Skills.Relevant experience in Supply Chain.3 years operational experience in a FMCG production environment.Sound understanding and knowledge of MRP / MPS logic.BenefitsSalary: R450K/yr - R500K/yr, salary negotiablePerformance BonusPrivate Health CareFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Training & DevelopmentPaid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Shannon Thomson and Jamie-lee McCallum at RPO Recruitment or on LinkedInYou can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
