The Offer Opportunity within company with a solid track record of success Work alongside & learn from best in class talent Great financial rewards The Job You will be responsible for : General activities Developing of intellectual property – research and development of structural- and civil applications that relates to bulk materials handling Feasibility and analytical studies and investigation of new technologies and conceptual designs Proficient in stress analysis, heat transfer, design for manufacture and material strength analysis Providing engineering structural and civil solutions and liaising with all engineering disciplines to present a complete solution to the client Preparing of material handling equipment documentation (equipment data sheets, specifications and scope of works) for obtaining prices and for procurement Assist in component sourcing and supplier selections – liaison with suppliers or contractors to coordinate the review of drawings and documents Liaising with third party Engineering Consultants in the development of specialised engineering solutions and equipment design Keep in touch with developments in the bulk materials handling industry Or any other tasks necessary that may occur periodically to the advantage of the employer Concept and detail design experience of steel structures with sound theoretical knowledge, mathematical and technical ability General knowledge of engineering science and technology applications especially in the bulk materials handling field Experience in drafting packages Health and Safety as well as Quality Assurance knowledge Specific high level leadership/management skills with good business acumen Attention to detail   Project management Ensure design is fit for purpose, fully reflect the client requirements, are cost effective and efficient to manufacture Conducting technical evaluation of tenders and providing recommendations for designs, costing and technical descriptions Project management from concept design to implementation Review and assess operational procedures at project sites with the view of developing better practical solutions Resolve technical issues throughout the design cycle as well as an ability to trouble shoot problematic operating systems Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications Organize personnel, suppliers and consultants to ensure timely project delivery with minimal re-work Review all documents for accuracy and completeness Preparing progress reports and payment certificates on projects   Information management Adhere to filing conventions of all documents electronically Oversight over document controller to ensure availability of documentation   Key Performance Indicators Show job  competency  by meeting goals and objectives, through required skills and technical ability and actions that will prevent a risk, loss or expense. Critical service level/job competency Carries out assigned jobs Your presence is a contribution to reaching goals Your work is making a tangible difference and is relevant to the operations   Special Skills Ability to handle various complex assignments Demonstrate special skills that increase the ability to generate additional income   Accuracy of duties Understand the limits of your equipment and uses it fully Completion of tasks without repeating same task – sensitive to prevent mistakes Attitude to minimize damages to equipment and machinery   The Profile Multiple special skills/usability Have developed additional skills or abilities to be enabled to add value to the production line when primary job duties are either finished or not possible e.g.
