Given the strategic nature of this job and being part of ATAF's Executive Management Team, the person we seek to appoint must:
Lead on the development, achievement, and reporting of ATAF's strategic plan, proposing strategic interventions when key deliverables are at risk.Further develop existing relations with our key stakeholders, including the 43 revenue authorities who are our members, donors who share our vision, and other continental and international organisations.Promote ATAF's credibility and reputation by seeking out new resources to support and expand the work of the organisation.Drive achievement in planning, monitoring and evaluation, membership, and reporting functions.The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of work experience in Tax Policy and/or Tax Administration Management, including senior management experience with Board and stakeholder engagement. A postgraduate qualification in a tax-related field and fluency in English and/or French are also preferred.
Frequent travel both on the continent and internationally will be required, so a valid passport with no restrictions is essential. In return, ATAF offers a competitive remuneration package as part of a four-year contract based at its offices in Pretoria, South Africa.
