Strategic Sourcing Lead (Operations Category) (Financial Services) Position Overview: A highly reputable financial services group is expanding their team and is looking to appoint and experienced Strategic Sourcing Lead (Operations Category). The main purpose of this position is to supervise the execution of the Strategic Sourcing function within a specific sourcing category in accordance with the procurement policy of the concern, ensuring the validity, timeliness, accuracy, good governance, and due diligence of sourcing transactions.
Key Performance Areas: Supervise and perform the sourcing of Operational goods and services example, HR, Training, Legal etc.).Manage the Operations Category sourcing activities in accordance with the procurement policy.Manage the cycle times for all category sourcing-related activities.Implement/execute sourcing category strategy.Ensure operational alignment in driving overall strategy.Review and authorise RFXs, recommendations for supplier awards and purchase orders.Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required: A completed Bachelor's degree (NQF 7) in Commerce or Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification.A minimum of 7 to 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing of Operational goods and services, of which at least 3 years should be in a Supervisory capacity.A Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) certification.Knowledge and skill in: Organisational and Business Awareness, Quality Assurance, Procurement Markets, Tendering, Category Management, Procurement Reporting Process and Metrics.If you meet all the requirements mentioned above and if you are interested to further the process, kindly contact Patricia Jacobs by referring a detailed CV per email to ******
