Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Job title: Specialist: Business Engagement Job grade: S5 Group/ BU: Generic Division: Generic Span of control: 0-5 Reports to: Senior Management Core DescriptionResponsible to assist the BRM group in controlling the messaging in terms of IT/ Business to meet and manage customer expectations. Clearly define business problem statements within an IT context and translate IT solutions into business capabilities so as to assist BRM group to communicate to business. Ensure effective communication between IT specialists and business customers regarding services required, including monitoring and timely reporting on the achievement of service and operational levels. Ensure that the delivery of IT solutions aligns with the need of business. Assist IT divisions in achieving the correct business solutions. Consider process, system, people and technology when investigating problem statements and defining solutions. The core focus for transformation will be to stabilise ITS with specific focus on: Operating model, Organization structure, Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Innovation, People, Governance and Culture, value and behavioursJob Responsibilities- Understand the Business strategic requirements and product roadmap for each Line of Business- Communicate these insights to the relevant ITS departments so that they align with the prioritised business demands- Assist the BRMs in discussion with various business stakeholders in conveying the message of release of capability for business- Do relevant site visits to the users of the applications to understand the various pain-points and assist in identifying solutions- Identify Business quick wins that can be enabled by IT on an on-going basis- Define the business impact as a result of IT risks and issues as they pertain to various BAU demands and projects (slippage, missing timelines, change in scope)- Provide on the job based knowledge, ways of working and information transfer- Ensure alignment across ITS deliverables and business requirements- Assist ITS in adhering to the said architecture principles by partnering with the BRMs to get business alignment- Assist Business partners in driving ITS to deliver demands on timeCore CompetenciesCustomer Focus; Business Acumen; Decision MakingFUNCTIONAL SKILLSCommunication & Presentation; Prioritisation; Initiative; Adaptability; Change Management; Technical & Professional; Facilitation; Influencing; Judgement & Decision-making; Conceptual ThinkingATTITUDES/ LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIESAbility to work with ambiguity; Problem Solving; Building Trust; Conflict Handling; Driving Execution Values Aligned with Telkom Values (CHART)EducationNQF 6: 3 year Diploma/ National Diploma in Business AdministrationExperienceCertificationsSpecial RequirementsPhysical RequirementsKey StakeholdersGroup Chief Information OfficerExternal CustomersInternal CustomersAdditional InformationSpecial Requirements:Broad understanding of Telco related environment.Fundamental understanding of Enterprise and Business Architecture.Understanding of eTom.Experience of managing relationships with internal business customers.#J-18808-Ljbffr
