Job Description
Perform daily administrative duties on the Laboratory Information Management System (SLIMS):

Collect all analysis worksheets from analysts daily and record all analytical results on prescribed report sheets, including the number and typing of analyses done on the monthly tally sheet, and compute the progressive total for the month to date. Must be conversant with recording methods and personal computer procedures.
Perform sample reception and create Job Sheets on SLIMS.
Validate jobs on SLIMS and forward job sheets to technical signatories for reporting or to the Quality Coordinator when QC material fails.
Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience.
Grade 12, with Mathematics and Science.
Laboratory background would be an advantage.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Integrity.
Attention to detail.
Punctuality.
Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management System.
Works well under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be flexible.
Knowledge of entering data on SLIMS.
Speak, write, and understand English.
