As a Site Supervisor: Projects you will be responsible for: Assist management in identifying risks and issues that can impact project delivery, looking at contingency plans, and mitigating actions Monitor the outcome of the project, tracking the performance of all contractors, vendors, and other involved entities Monitor mechanical project upgrades or modifications to plant or process equipment Participate in the adjudication and technical bid clarification process on projects Inspect and approve contractor or supplier quality assurance and resource plans Monitor contractor performance concerning compliance with Mill standard installation, safety standards, and quality of workmanship Communicate concisely and effectively with plant operations and engineering teams Implement effective document control from project conception to final handover Assist & support Project engineers in drafting new or amending mill engineering standards Compile documents and progress reports, schedule project meetings, update project plans, and organise project documentation related to all related projects
What are we looking for? NQF level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering  (N6/National Diploma Mechanical Engineering/ related field) 5 - 8 years of extensive experience with mechanical engineering projects in heavy industry Completion of accredited training in Project Management will be considered advantageous
