Description
The purpose of the position is to manage and coordinate the implementation of SHEQ related programs and systems according to Minopex, client and legislative requirements.
Qualification Requirements Grade 12 or EquivalentCertificates or Diploma in SHEQ ManagementValid driver's licence code B, EB or C1 Experience and SkillsRequirements Minimum 10 years' experience and knowledge of plant operations.SHEQ Auditors certificateComputer Literate in MS OfficePresentation and report writing skillsLegal Liability TrainingISO 9001 Quality Management TrainingISO 14001 Environmental Management TrainingISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems TrainingAdvanced hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Duties and Responsibilities Ensure compliance to all legislative requirements according to Minopex SHEQ ObjectivesEnsure the implementation of programs and systems across the Minopex sites to create awareness and compliance according to SHEQ objectivesEnsure the implementation and maintenance of the Minopex SHEQ Management System to monitor adherence to SHEQ and legislative requirementsEnsure that corporate objectives and targets are managed, and desired results are achievedEnsure site level objectives and targets are in line with corporate and client objectives and targets and manage it accordinglyProvide and manage programs to assist sites to comply with legal requirements, i.e., Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, COIDA Act, OHSACT Regulations etc.Monitor and report on all SHEQ related activities and actions according to organizational and legislative requirementsEnsure the auditing of SHEQ systems and compliance according to organizational standards and legislative requirementsAddress non-conformances according to audit reports by developing and implementing corrective actions across operationsEnsure medical surveillance and occupational health programs are implemented, maintained and effectively managedEnsure all legal appointments are in place, valid and correct according to required legislationFacilitate Department of Minerals and Resources (DMR) visits and audits and actively drive any requirements identifiedFacilitate and coordinate site certification processes according to ISO standards, (i.e., ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001) to ensure adherence to client specification and organizational standardsContinuously analyze SHEQ information to identify problems, deviations and implement corrective actions accordinglyLead incident/accident investigations to determine, report and eliminate root causes according to legislative and ISO requirementsEnsure the implementation of SHEQ related training and development to create awareness and adherence to legislative requirementsProvide specialist advise to internal and external stakeholders on SHEQ related programs, systems and adherence
