Silo Manager

Silo Manager Location : North West, Central District, Lichtenburg Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours Primary Industry: Agriculture Secondary Industry: Facilities Management   Purpose of the position: The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the relevant silo.
  Key responsibilities: Managing the intake and dispatch of all grain, which could include the drying of grain; Stock control of operating stock and equipment; Managing, controlling and training of personnel; Managing and controlling storage facilities, which includes the optimal utilisation thereof; Thorough control of administrative functions; Operating a computerised mainframe administrative system; and Execution of instructions and policies regarding the following:  Occupational safety Risk management Internal control systems; and Client satisfaction.
  Required qualifications and skills: Grade 12 certificate Five (5) years' relevant experience Candidates must have completed courses in the following: Maize, wheat and sunflower grading Silo management Fumigation A valid driver's license.
Detail-oriented.
Responsible and reliable.
Ability to take initiative and lead a team effectively.
Good communication abilities.
  Working Conditions: This role requires working in an agricultural environment, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to oversee operations.
