Job DescriptionAs Shift Supervisor Mining you will focus on safe quality of work, achieving production targets, housekeeping, supervising and coordinating support functions. Below are some of the key responsibilities critical to the role:
Ensure the maintenance of proper discipline of all persons under your charge.Conduct daily on-the-job coaching and on-site training sessions, capturing them in the logbook.Provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without undue risk to the health of employees within your area of responsibility.Utilise the latest Risk Matrix provided in the logbook to assess and eliminate or reduce risks.Empower yourself and the persons under your charge to stop any work when Occupational Health and/or Safety is endangered.Consider an employee's training and capability before allowing them to continue work or assigning specialized tasks.Assist in the control over the proper safe operation and running of machinery and equipment in your area of responsibility.This role is at a Band C5 and will report to the Mine Overseer.
