A specialist warehouse and distribution company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, customer service-oriented Shift Manager in KwaZulu Natal.
Responsible for the strategic shift planning, compliance and adherence of the ADfusion/Client model in liaison with client management.
This will include Inbound, Production, Outbound, Salvage and SHEQ Management
Matric / NQF level 4 qualificationDiploma or Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations highly advantageous2-3 years of experience in a Logistics/Manufacturing / Distribution / TES environment essentialMin 2 years of supervisory experienceComputer literate (MS Office)PROCESS Ensure that the strategic shift plan is executedManage productivity as per set targetsMinimize risk to Clients and staffEnsure adherence to policies and procedures as per ADfusion and Client modelMaintain and Implement HR and IR policiesResponsible for protecting the ADfusion model at all timesEnsure Housekeeping standards are maintainedMust be flexible and proactive in changing the strategic shift plan for the daySupport Client Site and Services Manager in delivering service plan for the shiftResponsible for the site in the absence of the Regional Operations ManagerEnsure there is a clear communication line between ADfusion and Client ManagementCompile and provide relevant reports as required on a daily basis for shift handover and to ACMS ManagementEnsure that TES implementation of discipline is aligned to ACMS disciplinary guidelines and adhered toManage outputs and productivity of assignees through TES Shift ManagersFINANCE Ensure that the staff compliment is balanced vs the workload to ensure shift is run cost effectivelySubmit End of shift report (Daily)Ensure registers for TES staff are signed and submitted dailyAuthorize overtime documents for TES staffManage Salvage daily reportManage XMQIR report dailyRISK Ensure SHEQ appointments are done per shiftManage MHE from an I-Sight perspectiveReport on rack damages dailyEnsure adherence to standard SOPsPEOPLE MANAGEMENT Share shift strategy with the ADfusion management team.

Inbound and OutboundEnsure that TES management is informed of the shift planEnsure that Training Development of all staff is in place in all departmentsEnsure that order fill (Headcount) is above 97% for the shiftAdhere to ADfusion policies and proceduresEnsure SHEQ requirements per shift are met, i.e.
First Aiders, Safety Reps, and Fire FightersEnsure that uniform standards are maintained;Protect Client assets, MHE equipment, Normal equipment (Cages and Totes), and respect for the productEnsure agencies comply with Labour take on and exit processes, tracking of disciplinary actions, etc.Ensure Agency KPIs are measured and managed e.g.
shift fill rates, throughput, payroll queries, MHE, etc.Provide regular feedback to Agencies and Clients regarding shift performance metrics/targets
