Description: An introduction to diverse mediums and topics for exploration with an emphasis on experimentation and conceptual development. In addition to acquiring manual skills used in the production of contemporary visual art, students are encouraged to explore their own individual artistic and research processes.

Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 - April 30, 2025
Estimate of the course enrolment: Approximately 25 students per section
Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9,930.79; Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77; Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,326.62; Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76; Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $10,570.02 (inclusive of vacation pay)
Minimum Qualifications: MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist. Applicants will be asked to supply references.
Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions, and student contact hours.
