FACULTY OF EDUCATION
LECTURER: PHILOSOPHY/HISTORY OF EDUCATION (1 POST)
The University of Fort Hare is a vibrant, equitable and sustainable African University, committed to teaching and research excellence at the service of its students, scholars and the wider community. It seeks to recruit and appoint a suitable qualified and experienced candidate for the above-mentioned permanent position.
Minimum Requirements:

A relevant Masters Degree and registered for a Doctoral degree
A teaching qualification
At least 1 years' experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
Undergraduate teaching experience in Philosophy/History of Education
Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding.

A relevant Doctoral degree
Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
Evidence of postgraduate teaching or supervision experience
Evidence of accredited research publications
Evidence of successful fundraising for research.
Evidence of participation in networking and collaboration in research and/or teaching
Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research

Duties:

Participate in research, curriculum design, development, and implementation
Teach undergraduate (and postgraduate) modules
Meet research publication requirements for academic rank of lecturer level
Supervise students (Honours/Masters research)
Secure research grants
Participate in networking and collaborations in research and/or teaching
Participate in mentorship programmes
Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
Participate in administrative duties in the department
