The role requires a skilled individual with experience in mining and heavy earthmoving equipment, technical management, and leadership.
Summary Description of Role Key Responsibilities: Planning & Management Input into technical section planning.
Horizon planning for operations and resources.
Human Capital Management Scheduling staff training and addressing skills gaps.
De-briefing staff on technical issues post-work completion.
Financial & Inventory Management Drafting financial reports versus budget.
Authorizing quotations, work order costs, and creditor invoices.
Monitoring vehicle fleet costs and usage.
Customer Liaison & Satisfaction Checking machine inspections and addressing quality and safety adherence.
Monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving issues.
Governance & Reporting Authorizing parts/equipment orders and monitoring warranty claims.
Producing consolidated field service reports.
Collating metrics for reporting on job costs, parts usage, etc.
Operational Oversight Implementing and monitoring special projects to enhance machine availability and customer satisfaction.
Resolving issues related to physical depot operations in conjunction with branch management.
Requirements Qualifications Trade Certificate or Diploma (3 years) Experience 6–10 years of relevant work experience in the mining and heavy earthmoving equipment industry.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience .
Strong technical experience with Komatsu Products (in product support or as a foreman) or similar heavy equipment in mining/construction.
Experience in customer liaison, service level/contractual agreements, decision-making, and problem resolution.
Basic financial management, including profitability and cost control.
Inventory management and reporting.
Specific Knowledge Requirements Occupational Health & Safety Act Fundamentals of the Labour Relations Act Basic knowledge of the SEIFSA Agreements Proficient in MS Excel (Intermediate) Advanced SAP skills Knowledge of Komatsu R&M Care and Komtrax systems Valid Driver's License Competencies Required Learning and Conflict Handling Stress Management and Mediation Stakeholder Liaison Human Resource Analysis Cost Estimating and Delegation Goal Setting and Continuous Leadership Development Additional Information Recruitment Policy : Managed in alignment with Komatsu's B-BBEE policies .
