CLOSING DATE: 25 SEPTEMBER 2024SALARY: TBAPURPOSESenior Tax and Reporting Accountant will support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.Preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Preparation/Review of VAT reconciliations and completion and submission of VAT returns.Assist with finance audits.QualificationsChartered Accountant (CA) SAAdvantageousHDip Tax or equivalent Tax qualificationExperienceUp to 3 years post articles experienceJob Duties / ResponsibilitiesReportingPreparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Assistance with the preparation of the integrated report.Completion of statutory and stakeholder reports and returns.Preparing internal reportsTaxationEnsure compliance with all relevant tax legislation.Maintain and update tax computation systems for tax compliance according to the latest prevailing tax legislation.Computation of accurate income and deferred tax to process relevant journals.Completion and submission of the income and provisional tax returns.Preparation/Review of VAT reconciliations and completion and submission of VAT returns.Preparation of tax disclosures in the AFS.Keep abreast of all tax regulations.Prepare internal opinion papers in various tax-related matters.Ensure that all queries raised by SARS are dealt with timeously.Finance and auditsDesired SkillsCA(SA) SAICAPreparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Desired Work Experience5 to 10 yearsDesired Qualification LevelHonours
