Our client is an industry-leading construction firm with a portfolio of large-scale commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure the financial success of our projects and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:Cost Management: Oversee all project costs from inception to completion, ensuring maximum value for money.Contract Administration: Prepare, manage, and monitor contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.Valuations & Variations: Conduct regular site visits to assess and verify the value of work completed and manage variations with clients and subcontractors.Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential project risks related to cost and contracts.Reporting: Provide detailed, timely cost reports to senior management, highlighting any financial risks or opportunities.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.What We're Looking For:Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 3 years on construction sites.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. RICS or equivalent certification is preferred.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, etc.), and cost control techniques.Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data and manage budgets effectively.Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Problem-Solving: Quick-thinking with the ability to resolve issues that arise on-site efficiently.Apply now!
