Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager will entail the following: Lead and manage large-scale projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic objectives.Develop detailed project plans, including timeliness, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to project team members.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to apply innovative solutions to project management challenges.Be willing to travel beyond Johannesburg.The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate for the Senior Project Manager role must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).7+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects successfully.Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.Strong project management skills, with experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing project risks.Come from the IT sector and have knowledge and background around agriculture.What's on Offer Our client will be willing to pay a market-related increase.
