Alligator Manufacturing currently needs to appoint a:
SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER (CPT) The main purpose of the Senior Production Manager (CMT) role is to oversee the local manufacture of corporate apparel, with particular focus on driving quality improvements and production efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities: · Product development (working with the client, Alligator in-house design department and in-house patternmakers).
· Develop and execute production plans to meet agreed delivery dates.
· Work with the Procurement Team to ensure that the purchasing & replenishment of all raw materials are completed within the required timeframe to meet production timelines.
· Ensure that the raw materials received & used by the CMT for production are up to the set industry standards.
· Identifying & vetting of new CMT's, 3rd Party Branders and raw material suppliers.
· Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery of orders and adjusting as necessary to meet changing demands, and carefully managing client expectations.
· Manage the CMT production teams to ensure on-time in-full delivery, include 3rd Party or In-House Branding.
· Quality management and control with all CMT's and 3rd Party Branders.
· Source & manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
· Manage production staff and quality control teams, create a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Prepare regular reports on production performance and other relevant metrics for senior management.
Essential Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering).
· 8-10 Years experience in a similar role within a garment manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
· Garment design, development, construction, patternmaking, grading, tech packs, production etc.
· Strong administrative skills.
· Numeric & financial acumen – costings and budget vs actual.
· Computer Literacy - MS Excel (Advanced), MS Office, MS Teams, Sync.
· Ability to negotiate and sustain good networking relationships.
· Driver's license and own transport.
