Overview Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Oil and Gas) Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Qualifications: BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices Experience with design, construction, and operation of oil and gas facilities Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in relevant software and tools Responsibilities: Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects related to oil and gas facilities Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems and components Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure accuracy and efficiency Provide technical support to other team members and departments Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and contractors Conduct site visits and inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports Participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices Employment Type: Full Time Company: Social #J-18808-Ljbffr
