Key Responsibilities:Creation of test plan and test schedule that are aligned with the overall project planPrioritise, allocate and execute tasks based on project planOrganising and conducting weekly team meetings with the focus on targets achieved and prioritising outstanding tasksWork closely with the project team to ensure that the project deliverables are metAll testing efforts are appropriately prioritised based on the risk assessmentProvide analytical support in the resolution of defectsReviewing and contribute towards system design documents such as functional requirements, technical requirements, non-functional requirements Take ownership of queries and offer possible solutions to the various stakeholders to ensure the resolution of the issueProvide feedback to Senior management and Project managers where relevant and required.Performance Management: Manage the performance and efficiency of the team using KPIs, and standards.Identifies testing risks both within and across projects and provides testing solutions /processes to mitigate the risksTest status reporting at both the detailed and management information levelManage the test scope and delivery for medium to large sized projects and/or portfolios or work streams of large programmesManage a medium-sized test team which may be multi-siteDefine and implement the overall test approachApply different estimating methods to estimate timescales, effort and costs for the testing phasesResponsible for producing the overall test delivery plan and defining the business test deliverable milestones, test tasks and activities whilst determining whether automation tools can be utilisedManage a large testing capability, resources and testing process from project initiation to post implementation review and extended wellnessIdentify slippage and develop strategies to recover and will own and resolve issues around the technical solution delivered into the business test environmentEnsure that all test phases have appropriate entry / exit criteria and for monitoring achievement of these criteria and for obtaining sign-off against these prior to Go LiveImplement a well-structured approach to test defect management and incident reportingMonitor and report the status and progress of each test phase to different stakeholders and to agreed CMT standardsRequired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:10+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in the capacity of Test Manager/Lead for a test team of at least 5 FTEsAt least 8 years of experience in manual and automated software testingExperience of having designed and implemented test frameworks on large s cale programmes and enhancing existing test processesStrong experience on driving test strategy, detailed test plan, test cases design, test data management and full-cycle execution management Solid track record of designing and analysing formal test metricsEngagement with stakeholders at all levelsEducational Requirements: Degree in Information Systems/Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent qualificationTest Management certification or Automation Testing certifications
