The opportunity
As a member of our team - Supply Chain & Operations, you'll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. With guidance from partners and directors you'll identify potential business opportunities for EY. By drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
Your key responsibilities
You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on Supply Chain & Operations projects and internal initiatives. In line with EY's commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams - or parts of teams - on engagements will depend on the size of engagement. When working on engagements, you'll report to higher levels of management, who will expect you to anticipate and identify risks, and escalate any issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
For this specific role, you'll be able to demonstrate a deep level of Consulting and Industry experience related to (at least 2 of the below, ideally all 3):
Operations Excellence and Improvement (e.g. using Lean, and/or Similar Approaches)
Business Analysis
Supply Chain Transformation
Digital Transformation - services helping organizations across their E2E digitization journey, including articulation and execution of their strategic direction
Client responsibilities
Participate in Supply Chain & Operations engagements.
Help manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.
Participate in business development initiatives.
Build strong internal relationships within EY Consulting Services and with other services across the organization.
People responsibilities
Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff.
Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.
Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Supply Chain & Operations professionals.
Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff.
Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Supply Chain Transformation
Business Analysis
Digital / Intelligent Supply Chain
Ideally, you'll also have
Knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas:
Rapid supply chain assessment
Supply chain process efficiency
Procurement transformation
Operational cost reduction
Operating model design
Knowledge and experience in one or more of EY priority industry sectors:
Government and Public Sector
Consumer Products
Industrial Products
Mining & Metals
