Introduction: We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management with MCIPS certification to join a reputable organization.
This role is pivotal in managing and executing Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles that align with the organization's strategic objectives and compliance with legislation.
Main Purpose of the Job: The Senior Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation, enforcement, and maintenance of SCM policies, standards, and processes.
The role encompasses oversight of various SCM functions, including operational decision-making, RFQ and tender processes, supplier development, B-BBEE compliance, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Performance Areas: Manage Operational Activities and Decision Making: Oversee and manage daily SCM operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.RFQ and Tender Process Execution: Lead the execution of RFQ and tender processes, ensuring adherence to SCM standards.Oversight of Supplier Development and B-BBEE Compliance: Manage supplier development initiatives and oversee B-BBEE verification to contribute to the B-BBEE scorecard.Enforce SCM Governance, Risk, and Compliance: Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance within SCM operations.Stakeholder Relationship Management: Engage with key stakeholders including EXCO, Procurement Committee, Project Portfolio Committee, Board, and National Treasury.
Serve as 2iC or as required for SCM leadership.Ad-Hoc 2iC Role and Oversight: Stand in for the Head of SCM, managing all SCM functions (excluding HR matters) as needed.
Support other departmental roles during absences. Preferred Minimum Education and Experience: Education: 3-Year Degree in Supply Chain ManagementMCIPS DiplomaExperience: 7 years of experience in a state-owned entity procurement environment5 years of experience as a Manager: Supply Chain Management5 years of general end-to-end SCM process experience, particularly in the public sector Critical Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge/Experience with Procurement SystemsUnderstanding of Legislative and Regulatory RequirementsExpertise in Public Sector, including State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Procurement ProceduresFinance Principles Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel as requiredFlexibility to work long hours when necessary Application Process: If you meet the above qualifications and are ready to contribute to a dynamic organization, please submit your CV and cover letter by 02 September 2024.
