You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, detecting and responding to cyber security threats to ensure that OMI operates securely. Manage the team, develop policies and procedures, and keep the Executive Team informed about security operations.You would:Create comprehensive security policies that align with OMI goals, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry regulations.Define clear objectives and priorities for the Security Operations Center (SOC) to enhance operational efficiency and align with the OMI strategic vision.Oversee the professional development of SOC personnel through tailored training programs, fostering a skilled and knowledgeable team capable of tackling evolving security challenges.Direct and coordinate incident response activities during security breaches, ensuring timely and effective remediation while minimizing impact on the OMI.Identify, assess, and prioritize security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and strengthen OMI's security posture.Conduct thorough analyses of incident reports to identify patterns, assess impact, and recommend improvements to security practices and incident response strategies.Act as the primary liaison during security incidents, facilitating communication between stakeholders and ensuring a coordinated response.Create and execute comprehensive crisis communication strategies to ensure clear, consistent messaging during security incidents and breaches.Generate detailed compliance reports to demonstrate adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards, supporting audits and assessments.Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SOC, providing insights into operational effectiveness and areas for improvement.Prepare and deliver regular updates to Executive Team, summarizing SOC activities, challenges, and strategic recommendations.Conduct regular performance evaluations of SOC staff, offering constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional growth.Continuously evaluate security processes and protocols, implementing enhancements to optimize the SOC's efficiency and effectiveness.Stay informed about the latest developments in threat intelligence tools and technologies, ensuring the SOC remains equipped to counter emerging threats.Experience, Knowledge & Skills RequiredBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldCertification CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar7-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3-5 years in a SOC or related environment.Hands-on experience (30% to 40%) in security operations, including incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring.Understanding of security frameworks and protocols (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, MITRE ATT&CK).Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.Proven leadership experience in managing security teams.Security Operations Center (SOC) Management.Incident Response and Management.Threat Intelligence Analysis.Security Policy Development.Team Leadership and Development.Vulnerability Management.Security Frameworks and Standards.Security Information and Event Management.Risk Assessment and Management.Advantageous Experience Knowledge & SkillsCEH, CCSP or similarShort term insurance industry experienceThe Recruitment Process:TA Interview: This will be a discussion with a member of the TA Team to give you an understanding of our business, our culture & values and more context on the role.
