SECTION MANAGER (MINING) - DUBLACK MOUNTAIN, AGGENEYSINTERNAL/EXTERNALWHAT YOU WILL DOResponsible for ensuring a safe working environment and that risks are identified and managed.Provide mining strategic input to the overall company vision, mission, and objectives.Develop a strategic vision, mission, and objective for the Mining Department.Lead, manage, and coordinate the Mining strategic objectives and initiatives e.g. 5-Year Life of Mine plan.Mining business plan (production plan, budget, and projects), risk plan, and new business.Identify mining best practices and include them in Black Mountain's mining vision, mission, and objectives.Identify and implement mining projects.Operational management.Mining policy formulation risk, health, and environmental procedures.Codes of practice, mining software systems.Establish operational targets and objectives.Manage and monitor adherence to targets and objectives set.Review and take remedial steps to meet and improve targets and objectives.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBSc/BTech degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).Metalliferous Blasting Ticket and Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.Previous experience as a Section Manager will be advantageous.Must have at least 5 years' operational experience in a Senior role.Massive mining (Long Hole Stoping, Cut & Fill, etc.) experience will be advantageous.Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong integrity and ethics proven ability to manage and lead people.Valid Code 8 driver's license.Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness.WHAT WE OFFERAn environment that is safe, rewarding, and supportive.An engaging workplace that enables employees to realize their full potential.OUR SELECTION CRITERIA:Remuneration will be according to qualifications and experience and will include competitive conditions of employment.Short-listed applicants may be required to undergo relevant psychometric assessments and background checks.Preference will be given to EE Candidates.
