The ideal candidate will ensure that all scaffolding is erected, maintained, and dismantled safely and efficiently, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the activities of the scaffolding team.Ensure all scaffolding is erected, maintained, and dismantled according to safety standards and project requirements.Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure stability and safety.Train and mentor scaffolding team members on best practices and safety procedures.Collaborate with project managers and other supervisors to plan and schedule scaffolding activities.Maintain accurate records of scaffolding activities, including inspections, maintenance, and incidents.Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to scaffolding operations.EducationMust have Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification.Scaffold Erecting and Dismantling Supervisor course.Scaffolding Inspection (Unit Standard: 263205, NQF Level: 4).Scaffolding Erection (Unit Standard: 263245, NQF Level: 3).ExperienceProven experience in scaffolding operations, including erecting, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding structures.Experience in supervising a team and managing multiple scaffolding projects.Must have clear criminal record.Knowledge And SkillsIn-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems, safety standards, and regulations, particularly the South African National Standards (SANS) 100852.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Health And SafetyCertification in Working at Heights and other relevant health and safety training.A valid medical certificate declaring fitness to work at heights.How to ApplyPlease submit a Word or PDF version of your CV, scanned PDFs will not be accepted.
