Retail Business Development Manager: Western Cape (Prescient Investment Management)Reporting line: Head of RetailLocation: Western CapeBusiness Unit: Prescient Investment ManagementAs part of a national retail sales and distribution team, you will be tasked with developing and cultivating key strategic conversations and relationships in the Western Cape retail investment market.
Your client base and stakeholders will predominantly consist of IFAs, DFMs, Multi-managers and LISP platforms.
As a result, extensive experience in the retail investment market and well-established IFA networks are crucial for success in this role.
A strong understanding of DFMs, multi-managers, and LISP platforms would be highly advantageous.
This individual will need to follow a collaborative team approach that adheres to the Prescient value framework.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMarket and distribute Prescient funds to the Western Cape retail marketsExpand the footprint and brand of Prescient in the Western CapeBuild a network of supporting IFAs, DFMs, multi-managers, and LISP consultants selling Prescient fundsProvide excellent service to any person interested or invested in Prescient fundsTake initiative in the promotion of Prescient to the Retail marketCollaborate with the institutional team to build the Prescient brandBuild partnerships with other fund managers where it makes sense to join forcesRequired ExperienceExperience in similar role required (min 3-5 years) with good network of clients in Western Cape regionsStrong understanding of the investment industry, investment products, and structuresTechnically strong and able to understand a systematic investment management styleMust be able to build and maintain client relationshipsStrong communication, presentation, writing, and influencing skillsRequired QualificationsCompleted Commercial / Investment / Financial Degree / PostgraduatePreference for a completed CFP and/or CFA studiesKEY COMPETENCIESExcellent people and relationship management skills criticalProactive self-starterAbility to work under pressure and manage time effectivelyExcellent presentation skillsProfessional and accountableAble to work in a team and independentlyClient service oriented and solution drivenWHY THIS ROLE?This is a brilliant opportunity to utilise your strong networks in the retail investment market and grow your career within a market-leading, systematic Investment Manager.
