An airport's Business Lounge requires a Restaurant General Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong F&B background, good financial acumen, and sound management skills. They must also be energetic, passionate, and driven to succeed.
Responsibilities:
Managing a team of 10 staff members
Full HR management, recruitment, and training
Disciplinary procedures
Provide leadership and vision to subordinates
Uphold Team Spirit
Uphold and implement policies, procedures, regulations, and standards
Effective people development, leadership, and training
Budget forecasting and CAPEX
Budgeted profitability
Financial management
Ensuring profitability of the lounges
Financial control on all aspects of operations in the lounge
Adhering to strict food cost control budgeting whilst maintaining the highest quality of product delivery
Stock and asset management
Quality control / safety and security
Administration management
Key Accounts Management
Assisting in upholding market leader status in Hospitality
Guest satisfaction - Ensuring guests are satisfied at all times and in all aspects
Hygiene Audits – minimum target of 85%
Mystery shopper program target of 85%
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Hospitality Management qualification preferable
5 years Senior Management experience gained in an upmarket F&B environment
Strong HR/IR knowledge
Computer literate with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
Highly presentable
Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to proactively analyse financial and economic data and proactively advise against potential risk
Proven exceptional track record of guest interaction and service recovery
Able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, late shifts, and travel
Own transport
