Residential Childcare Worker

Umbrella Pay - £18.26 per hour
3 months initially
Rota basis including days, evenings, sleep ins and weekends – Office based
Responsibilities Prepare and support young people to leave care, enabling them to either return home or move on as appropriate Participate in the assessment of each child's/young person's needs and regular reviewing individual care plans/programmes Assist in providing a safe, secure and accepting environment for children and young people, appropriate to their age, understanding and identified needs Encourage individuals to accept responsibility for their self-care, personal growth and development appropriate to their age Liaise and work effectively with colleagues, other agencies and service users in the interests of young people looked after Organise and take part in activities inside and outside of the home Maintain trusting working relationships with children, parents and carers Ensure the wishes and feelings of the children are taken into account in all matters relating to their daily care Keep and maintain accurate records of work Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary Requirements Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young people's workforce, or be prepared to work towards and complete within 12 months of commencing employment Qualified in Team Teach Experience working with vulnerable children Ability to observe and record young people's behaviour Ability to work with other team members Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
