Reserve Manager

Key Responsibilities:Reserve Management:Oversee the conservation of animal and plant populations.Manage ecological monitoring, predator-prey dynamics, and security/anti-poaching programs.Coordinate with government and conservation organizations, representing the reserve at various forums.Reserve Maintenance:Ensure the upkeep of perimeter fencing, road networks, water reticulation, and waste management systems.Personnel Management:Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring a productive and safe work environment.Administration:Manage the annual reserve budget, progress reporting, and fleet management.Estate Management:Liaise with various stakeholders, including shareholders and commercial operators, ensuring effective communication and operations.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in reserve or wildlife management.B-Tech in Nature Conservation or a similar qualification (M-Tech preferred).Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ArcView is an advantage.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Experience in liaising with government and community stakeholders.
