Purpose of this position
The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth operations of the facility as well as the management of staff, satisfaction for the members, and delivery of high standard fitness offerings.
Requirements for KPA's
Operations
Manage the day-to-day facility operations including:
Brand
Club look and feel
Facility upkeep
Brand standards compliance
Equipment
Accurate completion of preventative maintenance schedule
Health and Safety
Ensure the compliant completion of all Health and Safety related matters within the facility.
Service
Member Resolution
Manage and resolve all member queries relating to the Operations department
Member interaction
Engage with members in a friendly and professional manner as per company standards
People
Employee Development
Demonstrate commitment to the continuous personal and professional development of yourself, the team, and your colleagues
Staff Retention
Manage staff performance and morale to build a lasting and effective team
Financial
Net Member Movement (NMM)
Manage the quality of service received by members through the speedy and effective resolution of queries to minimize cancellations while assisting sales with new memberships in order to maintain a positive net member movement.
Controllable Cost
Manage and monitor all consumable stock control within the facility.
Experience & Competencies:
General Management experience - sales and operational
Able to manage a multi-disciplined team
Passion for standards and cleanliness
Experience in fitness/related industry advantageous
Able to work at peak times (including evenings and weekends) essential.
