Key Responsibilities: Implement the offshore strategy set by the CRO Prepare South African risk team cost reviews and forecasts Lead regular updates for senior management on office progress Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, IT, finance, HR, and facilities Optimize systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy, working closely with onshore offices and IT teams Monitor and manage local desk operations Create and manage a KPI reporting dashboard Ensure adherence to procedures, frameworks, and accurate execution of tasks Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth Support resource and succession planning in coordination with HR and business heads Manage team performance and structure optimization, including headcount projections and recruitment coordination with HR Lead regular team meetings and organize team-building initiatives Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across regional offices Provide insights to senior management on office and team performance, along with strategic recommendations for local operations Qualifications & Experience: Relevant bachelor's degree 15 years of experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within finance, banking, or risk management Competencies: Strong leadership with emotional intelligence Excellent time and priority management skills Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving skills Proactive, highly motivated, and committed Independent, flexible, and entrepreneurial mindset Strong customer focus in a global, demanding environment Analytical skills with the ability to define problems and recommend improvements Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Willingness to travel to Europe once or twice a year
