Inviting applications for the role of Record to Report – Management Trainee – English – on site Johannesburg.
Responsibilities: Preparation and posting of journal entries (including all control checks). Day to day Bank and GL clearing. Managing bank statements and related GL reconciliations. Performing postings/analysis/reconciliations on intercompany transactions and related supporting documentation. Cost allocation. Performing regular analyses of the account variances. Performing additional tasks on request. Complying with Month End closing requirements and deadlines. Ensuring there are no outstanding transactions that are not completed before closing. Ensuring monthly checklists are completed without exception. Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports as requested by management. Following adequate rules, policies, procedures, and instructions. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills: Bachelor's/ Master's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance - required. Relevant years of professional experience in General Ledger including Intercompany, Reconciliation, JE posting and accruals and Cash & Bank reconciliations - required. General knowledge of accounting principles – required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Intermediate to Advanced level of Excel is desired. SAP knowledge is required. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills: Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to review and proofread work for accuracy. Demonstrates the ability to analyze information, identify problems and recommend solutions. Demonstrates the ability to function as a facilitator; independently resolving problems, working with and through others to recommend, test and implement process improvements. Demonstrates the ability to manage own time, activities and resources to ensure department standards are met on a consistent basis. Demonstrates the ability to identify and understand customer needs, take appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met. What can we offer?
