Senior Accounts Clerk: Cashbook and Treasury (Grade 09)

Finance Division: Treasury The Finance Division invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Main Objectives To provide effective & efficient accounting / administration and control measures in accordance with the University's policies and procedures. The accounting / administration and control measures relate to:

Identification, correct allocation, processing and reconciling of Bank / Cash Book transactions. Cell phone and Foreign Exchange administration. Ensuring that a high standard of communication and service is maintained at all times. The Requirements Grade 12, preferably with accounting, plus approximately 4 years' relevant experience where such experience includes:

Previous experience in a pressurised administrative / accounting environment. Working to tight deadlines and multiple demands. Previous experience in reconciling accounts (e.g. bank reconciliations & control account reconciliations). Previous experience in Online Banking would be an advantage. Sound computer literacy skills and having worked with computerised accounts (proficiency in Microsoft Excel compulsory). A relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage. Selection Process (provisional Date, Subject To Change) Short-listing meeting TBC. The selection process that will be followed for this post will include an assessment and/or presentation and an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date. Remuneration Per Annum (Grade 09) Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R291 281

Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R399 030
