This job administers psychological tests to child, adolescent and adult inpatient and outpatient populations, scores tests, compiles results, writes behavioral observations, administers and scores computer-based assessment procedures.
Maintains testing supplies and computer services and participates in psychology related activities such as research, projects, etc.Education Required - Bachelor's degree in PsychologyWork ExperienceRequired - 1 year experience in administration of intellectual and personality assessment procedures.Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to work for extended periods of time on a one-to-one basis with a diverse patient population.Job DutiesAdministers and scores individual IQ and personality tests to children and adults.Processes computer based reports for psychological tests, social histories, etc.Writes detailed observations of patient's behavior during testing.Maintains testing materials and computer scoring services.Scores behavioral checklists for child psychiatry/psychology.Assists in section/departmental research.Keeps abreast of departmental/section activities and educational opportunities.Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.Other related duties as required.
