Property Valuer

To undertake independent professional valuations of immovable property for operational SBU's and DepartmentsQualificationsDiploma or Degree in Land Management/ Economics; Valuation Estate Management, Regional Town Planning, or equivalent.Appropriate registration with South African Council for Property Valuers Profession, or equivalent.Knowledge SkillsMinimum 5 years' appropriate experience in land and buildingAnalysis and interpretation of the factors and market forces and information effecting asset values.Experience in valuation of movable assets (plant, equipment and machinery) would be an added advantage.To independently review and determine appropriate fixed asset (land and building) values cognisant of all value forming factors for the purpose of verifying purchase prices, authenticating shareholder contributions, establishing security cover, setting reserve prices at disposal, insurance, etc.To provide expert advice within field of expertise regarding values, value forming factors, market trends, collateralization, etc.To maintain relevant records and relations in support of expertise, expert knowledge.To maintain pertinent professional and expert standing, both within and beyond the organisationReview external and internal valuation reports. TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:Valuation TechniquesAnalysis and interpretationPlanning and OrganisingReport writing skillsBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIESCommunication skills (written and verbal)Relationship building and networkingAbility to multi task and thrive under work pressureResults and solutions orientedAbility to collaborate and influence various stakeholders and teams
