Your opportunity:
The Program Coordinator, Specialized Programs will work under supervision of the Director, Program Services & Student Life and under general direction of the Associate Director, Program Services and will be responsible for being the first point of contact for the Specialized Programs portfolio, scheduling and booking meetings, coordinating logistics for events/workshops, maintaining digital platforms, arranging catering, maintaining confidential files, making travel arrangements and making minor purchases. As the Program Coordinator, Specialized Programs you will work with the Associate Director, Program Services to support the Program Services Office in the development, implementation, and administration of a wide range of programs, events and initiatives that focus on community building, student development, and health and wellness.
Your responsibilities will include: Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiriesProviding detailed information to students on program and/or course requirementsScheduling appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current students to address individual needsDetermininglogistical details and activities for events and/or programmingLiaising with stakeholders to coordinate space and resource requirementsUpdating and maintaining recordsGenerating reportsEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experienceMinimum two (2) years recent and related experience, both online and in-person, in event planning, program delivery, customer service and administration.Experience in delivering and administering online programs using Learning Management Systemsand webinar platforms including Zoom, Adobe Connect and MS TeamsExperience providing advice to students on program and course requirements.Experience facilitating and organizing meetingsExperience with Quercus, Blackboard and other relevant tools.Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Acorn, ROSI.Strong organizational, presentation and event coordination skills.Ability to interact with faculty, students and professional colleagues in a tactful, professional and diplomatic manner.Demonstrated ability to meet external deadlines and manage competing priorities.
