Production Manager

RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading mining company in the Northern Cape to fill the position of Production Manager. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations and ensuring the efficient extraction and processing of minerals.Responsibilities include:Leading and managing a team of production staffMonitoring and optimizing production processesImplementing health, safety, and environmental policies and proceduresEnsuring compliance with industry regulationsDeveloping and implementing production plansAnalyzing production data and identifying areas for improvementDriving continuous improvement initiativesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related fieldOpencast Blasting CertificateAt least 5-10 years' experience in an open-cast mining environmentMinimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role in the mining industryMine managers' certificate will be advantageousMust have proven experience with open-pit heavy equipment fleet and open-pit operations and mechanically inclinedThorough experience in drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and pit dewateringStrong knowledge of mining and mineral processing operationsExcellent leadership and team management skillsExperience in implementing health, safety, and environmental policiesBenefitsSalary: NegotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO)
