Procurement Administrator

A well-established Company in Benoni is looking for a Procurement Administrator.
Basic Criteria:

Supplier Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable delivery lead times and pricing.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all procurement transactions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials and products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
Cost Control: Monitor and analyse procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost-saving initiatives (work on 3 quote system).
Transport Arrangement: Arrange transport for collection/deliveries of certain procured items and deliveries on (WIP) or finished products.
Import/Export Administration: Assist in import/export administration activities.
Purchase Orders: Raise POs from BOM (Bill of Materials) and send them out to suppliers to expedite these orders.
Communication: Communicate any delays or interruptions in supply well in advance to management.
Supplier Queries: Resolve supplier queries and assist accounts with any procurement-related queries.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement: A certification or diploma in purchasing.
2-3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Computer literate with some ERP knowledge.
Needs to reside in the East Rand area.
A valid driver's license is needed.
Own reliable transport.
